Anya Taylor-Joy Wore a Paco Rabanne Dress Covered in Arrows

Anya Taylor-Joy loves nothing more than pulling out all of the stops for her red-carpet appearances. For her, a simple, understated gown doesn't always cut it. As part of the press tour to promote her role in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, the Dune 2 actress has already stepped out in a drapey chocolate leather gown, but today's look proves she's always trying to top herself.

In one of her most daring looks to date, Taylor-Joy appeared at the Australian premiere of the action film on May 2, wearing a bejeweled mesh dress covered in literal arrows along with a matching headpiece.

The metallic dress and matching headpiece are almost reminiscent of Florence Pugh's wardrobe in the latest Dune installment, in which Taylor-Joy also makes an appearance. But the real talking point of this look is the giant straight arrows protruding from the dress's skirt — not only is this dress literally impossible to sit down in, but it also effectively keeps her co-stars at arm's length.

Taylor-Joy's decision to take this bold look for a spin is proof that she really is a fashion girlie. The dress and headpiece originally debuted as part of Paco Rabanne's 1996 retro-futurist runway show. Considering the iconic designer's breakthrough 1966 collection was titled "Unwearable Dresses," this arrow-adorned archival piece is true to form.
