Blake Lively has debuted a new promo snap for her line of cocktails, Betty Booze, on Instagram but the new brand has attracted mixed reactions. Many of her fans have defended her after some “triggered” trolls slammed her “authenticity”.
The Gossip Girl TV actress, 35, announced the launch of new alcoholic cocktails as an addition to her non-alcoholic brand Betty Buzz. Blake previously confirmed that she doesn’t drink alcohol and the new alcoholic release has left some fans questioning her “authenticity”, while others came to her defense.

The Simple Favour star shared a new promo picture for Betty Booze, a new line of sparkling cocktails after she successfully launched the non-alcoholic Betty Fuzz drinks.
The celebrity posted a picture next to a lemonade stand with a set of her lemonade sparkling drinks featuring a cute summer outfit and a side ponytail with the sign “21+ over”.
Blake Lively revealed how she got inspired to launch the new brand, writing in her Instagram caption: “Betty Booze comes from the lemonade recipe I made up 13 years ago for summer lemonade stands.
“The lemonade stand version is obviously alcohol-free. And it sells out FAST. I would often have adults in my life request a version of my lemonade but with alcohol. It happened so much that that’s where the idea for @bettybooze was born.”
The actress said she decided to launch the line after her “loved ones wanted more” from her company and clarified that her team is working on a lemonade drink without alcohol for Betty Buzz.
Fans come to Blake’s defense after brand “triggers” trolls
Blake’s new line of cocktails sparked mixed reactions as many questioned the star’s decision to launch an alcoholic line because she has opened up about her sobriety in the past.
“But you don’t drink. Doesn’t seem authentic,” one Instagram follower wrote. “To me, it’s just trying to grab more $$$.”
“I thought you were sober? So why promote something you wouldn’t do yourself?” someone else questioned.
However, others came to the star’s defense and gave examples of how they would make drinks for their friends even though they don’t drink.
“I don’t drink anymore and I still make my friends drinks when they come over. Don’t understand why people are hating on her new product line,” one person defended Blake.
“Y’all so unsupportive lol men make women’s clothing but don’t use their own products,” someone else noted. “What’s the difference? Y’all really can’t stand to see other people happy.”
A third person noted: “Reading some of the comments… I just picture people waking up, jumping onto social media scrolling to find the next thing to be triggered by or to ‘call’ someone out…. When really they need the negativity to stroke their ego.”

The video featured the 35-year-old Hollywood star surrounded by lush greenery and logs on the ground when she exclaimed with a baffled expression: “I ordered two cans from Amazon.
She then dropped F-bomb and added: “Not a f****** toucan from the Amazon.”
